Nomadlist is a site that ranks different places according to how good they are as nomad destinations. Has anyone used it, if so did you find it useful and reliable? Bangkok is usually in the top 3.

I realistically don't find the information very helpful because there is too much subjectivity to it.  The countries I like are likable for reasons that appeal to me as an individual.

The site might be useful for people who are living hand to foot and need to be very cost-conscious, but I find my criteria to be:

-Which countries have Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, and Radisson?
-Which countries have those brands in cities besides the capitals?
-How attractive are the women (to me)?
-How much crime against foreigners is there?
-How healthy and tasty is the local food?

Also, as a black traveler, the some of the "high in racism" countries are my all time faves.  The "low in racism" countries are mostly yawners.  Also, it is not clear whom the racism against, Asians, blacks, whites?  Albanians have a thing against East Asians stemming from their legendary break with China.  They often look down on all Asians as "Chinese."  However, as a black visitor, I had a ball there.

So in other words, the ratings don't match my 20 years of traveling globally.
