Best 2nd/3rd tier cities in Colombia Empty Best 2nd/3rd tier cities in Colombia

If anyone has been to Colombia, which 2nd or 3rd tier cities would you say are the best? From what I've heard Bucaramanga is very nice. 

It seems that the coastal cities aren't that good. Cartagena is too touristy, Santa Marta is too hot and humid, and Barranquilla is a bit ugly.
